Al's Weight Loss File
Well, the recommendation by the Dr. was to lose about 10% of my body weight. I then weighed 300. Or so. So 270 is my target weight. I peaked at 307+ and am now this: That's down 17 pounds and what a difference it makes too.
Oh, I also weighed my cat and he's lost a little less than 2 pounds since the vet weighed him about 10 months ago or so. Then he weighed 14 lbs. 12 is much more healthy as Siamese aren't known to normally exceed about 9-10.
I only feed my cat Tank dry cat food in his bowl but he loves yogurt. And chicken. Cottage cheese too. So he can beg pretty affirmatively alright.
So, yeah, I'm pretty happy about breaking the 290 barrier. Especially after eating and drinking so much on the fishing trip up North near Canada that I just returned home from. Hopefully we go to West OKOBOJI lake again this year. Village West I think. Some time share outfit my sister Annette did last year and the cabins were only $50.00 per night. We rented 3 so $150.00 total plus taxes and cleaning fees of about $200 per cabin. For the week. Sunday night through Saturday or 7 nights I think. Times 150 about a grand. Total about $1,500.00 for a week in a cabin on a lake in late September. Still great fishing and not really that cold. Brisk and blustery but hell it's fall in Northwest Iowa man. Last year my brother, a pro guide had the fan on it with nice 5-7 pound Pike on the slate as well as a few walleyes and I believe some largemouth bass. Small mouth too perhaps but I don't think so. Anyway, fishing was great. The only bummer is the resort has no boat launch and there's no overnight mooring so if you wanna fish the morning run and the evening one you gotta drive 4 miles to the nearest ramp and offload it and trailer the boat four times. Or two depending on how you look at it. Plus cleaning all the fish. Which last year on one day it took 3 of them about a half hour to filter them all up. Rivers, my 4 year young grand nephew was a lotta shy and put off by the cleaning process so he grabbed my hand and we walked around the grounds while those three did their work. So that was cool. I don't particularly enjoy watching animals suffer. Only Trump.
